Terms & Conditions

The agreement between you and Lunaya Store when you buy camera equipment from us: how orders work, what delivery and returns involve, and what the two-year warranty does and does not cover.

Last updated: 26 July 2026

1.About these terms

These terms govern every order placed through this store. By completing checkout you accept them, so please read them before you buy. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

The seller is [Company legal name], [registered address], company number [number], VAT [VAT number], trading as Lunaya Store. We are an independent retailer of photographic equipment, not a manufacturer.

2.Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a binding sale. The contract forms when we email you to confirm dispatch. Until then we may decline the order.

We may cancel and refund an order in full if the item is out of stock, if the price or specification was displayed incorrectly and the error was obvious, if we cannot verify the delivery address, or if we reasonably suspect fraud or that the goods are being bought for resale.

We sell to end users. Bulk orders and trade enquiries are welcome but must be arranged with us directly rather than through the standard checkout.

3.Prices, tax and payment

Prices are shown in euro and include VAT at the applicable rate unless stated otherwise. The price you pay is the price displayed at the moment you complete checkout.

Payment is taken in full at checkout through Stripe, which accepts major credit and debit cards. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure page and are never stored on our systems. Goods remain our property until payment clears in full.

Orders shipped outside the EU may attract import duty and local tax on arrival. Those charges are set by the destination country, are payable by you, and are not included in our prices. We cannot mark parcels as gifts or declare a lower value.

4.Delivery

Orders placed before 15:00 CET on a working day are dispatched the same day. Delivery within the EU normally takes two to four working days and elsewhere five to eight, but these are estimates rather than guarantees.

Shipping is free on orders over €500. Below that a flat €19 rate applies and is shown before you pay.

Risk passes to you on delivery. Check the outer packaging before signing where a signature is requested, and tell us within 48 hours if a parcel arrives damaged or the seal is broken, keeping the packaging so the carrier can inspect it. Loss in transit is our problem to resolve with the carrier, not yours.

5.Cancellation and returns

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have 14 days from receiving the goods to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to send the goods back. We go beyond that: you may return any unused item in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

To start a return, contact us with your order number and we will issue a prepaid label. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of the goods reaching us, or of proof of return, whichever is sooner.

  • Equipment must come back complete: body caps, straps, chargers, cables, manuals and original boxes. Missing accessories are deducted from the refund at their replacement cost.
  • You may inspect and test equipment as you would in a shop. If you have used it beyond that — a lens with marks on the front element, a camera with a materially increased shutter count, or a tripod used outdoors — we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.
  • Memory cards, and any software or licence key, cannot be returned once the seal or the code has been opened, unless faulty.
  • Made-to-order and custom-configured items, including cut cable assemblies and engraved equipment, are excluded from the 30-day return, though your statutory rights for faulty goods still apply.

6.Two-year warranty

Every product carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects and premature component failure under normal use, starting on the date of delivery. This runs alongside your statutory rights and does not replace them.

We register the serial number against your order, so you do not need to keep the receipt. To make a claim, contact us with your order number and a description of the fault, and photographs or sample footage where the problem is visible.

We will repair the item, replace it, or refund you, at our option and within a reasonable time. Where the manufacturer must carry out the repair we handle the escalation for you rather than sending you to them.

  • Not covered: accidental damage, drops and impact, and cosmetic wear such as scratches to bodies, barrels and screens.
  • Not covered: liquid ingress, sand and corrosion, including on bodies marketed as weather-sealed — sealing resists spray and dust, it does not make equipment submersible.
  • Not covered: sensor damage from pointing a camera at the sun without a filter, or from stage and event lasers, both of which leave a distinctive burn pattern.
  • Not covered: fungus or haze in lenses caused by long-term storage in damp conditions.
  • Not covered: batteries and other consumables, whose capacity falls with use. A battery holding materially less charge than when new is normal wear rather than a fault.
  • Not covered: mechanical shutters that reach the manufacturer's rated actuation count, third-party modifications, unauthorised repairs, or firmware that has been altered outside the manufacturer's official release.
  • Dead or stuck pixels are assessed against the manufacturer's published tolerance for that model, since a small number is normal on every large sensor.

7.Faulty goods

If an item is faulty on arrival, tell us within 30 days and you may choose a full refund or a replacement, with return postage paid by us. This is in addition to the warranty above.

Where a fault appears later, we will repair or replace the item under warranty. If a repair is not possible within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to you, you may ask for a refund, which may be reduced to reflect the use you have had.

8.Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for orders placed through your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.

We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, for repeated abusive contact with our staff, or to place orders that are repeatedly cancelled or refused on delivery.

9.Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was formed.

If you use equipment for your business, we are not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost bookings, or the cost of reshooting work. Photographers should carry their own insurance and, on paid assignments, a backup body.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10.Intellectual property

The design, text and photographs on this site belong to us or our licensors, and product names and logos belong to their respective manufacturers. You may not copy the site's content for commercial use without our written permission.

We are an independent retailer. Manufacturer trade marks appear here to identify the goods we sell and do not imply that we are an agent of, or endorsed by, those manufacturers.

11.Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, customs delay, natural disaster, and manufacturer supply failure. If such an event lasts more than 30 days you may cancel the affected order and receive a full refund.

12.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Please contact us first — most disputes are resolved quickly by email. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

13.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how we ship. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you placed the order, and later changes do not apply retrospectively.
